Linux Fans Rejoice

GNU linux was designed to be a free and open source operating system. Linux is likely what makes your DVD player, mobile phone, or other electronics work. There are specific versions of linux made for desktop and laptop computers, specifically Ubuntu is designed to be an easy to use free alternative to other programs. It comes with many free open source applications, and is available for free.

Quantum Neighborhood Linux Fans supports Ubuntu linux and other open source projects. By making code available to everyone, the community says that software is to be shared and improved and used by whomever can make their life or the lives of others better by doing so.

In the future Quantum Neighborhood Linux Fans hopes to provide free open source source solutions to many computer problems. We'd like to thank Jeff Compfrey for donating some of his Ubuntu disks to the Village Free School so that the school could have computers for their students and staff. Talk exists about having a technology work party to set up computers for the school, keep an eye on the Village Free School calendar.
