At the last meeting we met the new Market Manager and got reports from everyone on their work to help start up the market.

As for the Food Group meetings, everyone interested is welcome! Children are welcome! Bring your friends and neighbors!
The Lents Food Group is a group of people working on various food issues in the Lents neighborhood.
Current projects include:
-Revamp and re-opening of the Lents Farmers Market (We now have full funding, good work)
-Founding of the Lents Food Co-op
-Community gardening
-Cooking classes, including eating healthy on a budget
-Organizing a buying club in Lents
-Removing barriers to access to healthy food for people in our community
If you would like to be involved with any of these projects, or if you
know of another food-related project you would like to see in Lents,
please come to a meeting or e-mail us.
We would especially like input from any of the many different cultural and community groups in and around Lents!
